Three Winners Chosen in Marsala Wine Brand Competition
Colombo is pleased to announce the June 10-17, 2011 Complimenti del Cuoco: Colombo Recipe Challenge winning lineup. The first place winner of the inaugural event goes to Chef Chris Neff of Sprig, while Chef Doug Vaughan of Goldfish and Chef Ron Eyester of Rosebud tied for second place. Special industry judge Tami Hardeman, whose culinary blog Running with Tweezers was voted the Best Blog in Atlanta by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, chose Sprig as her favorite choice due to the incredible use of the Marsala in combination with the ingredient, namely the mushrooms. Additionally, Sprig pulled in the majority of the 2,852 fan favorite votes on the Colombo website,www.colombowine.com. For Hardeman’s complete recap of all dishes with photos and a list of local retail outlets to purchase Colombo Marsala wine, visit www.runningwithtweezers.com.
